Fylfot is an organization consisting of amateur artists from the field of theatre and dance, social workers and literary luminaries. Fylfot is based in Solan. This organization came into existence in 1986. It was in this year that the local Govt. College celebrated the Silver Jubilee of its existence and it was on this platform that the Old Students Association members were invited and asked to give different cultural presentations and it was in the course of this happening that a group of old students floated the idea that they should form a socio-cultural organization in the town and expand the scope of cultural exchange between different states of India.

Thus, Fylfot Forum Solan was born! The name Fylfot is a symbol of Lord Ganesha and hence logo is the “Swastika” («) which in itself symbolizes the Lord Ganesha. Since it was formed in order to attract artists from the different states of India, it was but natural for Fylfot to have motto “National Integration through Cultural Social and Literary activities” and this is what Fylfot have been striving for the last 35 years of its existence. Fylfot Forum is a powerful medium where the young and upcoming artists of our Nation are able to show their talent and prove their worth.

Fylfot feel proud to mention here that they have being able to generate many IAS, Media persons and TV & film actors, Dancers, Musicians who have now a celebrity status.

Fylfot is also sending its young talent to participate in the Cultural Exchange Programmes, in the different parts of the country. It is presently an effort of considerable magnitude in cultural sphere in the region with a motto To Promote National Integration through Cultural, Social and Literary pursuits.
