'I have been fortunate to be associated with this Forum since, I was Deputy Commissioner Solan, in 1993. I have seen, how the Forum invites artists from all over the country and have a colourful for days of programme filled with dances, dramas and on the top of it a grand public procession of artists, in Solan Town, every year.

I always look forward to see the musical programmes of the Forum and find the quality of cultural programmes, of a very high order. The activities of the Forum are continuing at this scale, from many years, because of sustained dedication of its members.

I admire their dedication and commitment for such beautiful cultural fest, which may be one of its kind in the entire Himachal Pradesh. I am sure that the Forum will keep on rendering its excellent services, for the cultural integration of the country.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to express my deep appreciation for being a part of the Fylfot Forum and for associating with them in organizing the All India Dance and Drama Festival every year. This festival provides a unique platform for artists from all over the country to showcase their talent and promote the rich cultural heritage of India.

It is heartening to see how the Fylfot Forum is committed to promote national integration through cultural activities, which is an essential aspect of our diverse and pluralistic society. The festival not only brings together people from different regions and communities but also helps in fostering a sense of unity and harmony among them.

In addition to promoting cultural heritage, the Fylfot Forum is also actively engaged in social and literary activities that aim to create awareness and bring about positive change in society. Their efforts towards the betterment of society are truly commendable.

I am honored to be associated with such a noble cause and grateful to be a part of this forum. It is indeed a privilege to witness the magic of art and culture that unfolds during the All India Dance and Drama Festival every year. I am confident that this festival will continue to inspire and enrich the lives of many people in the years to come.

सोलन, हिमाचल प्रदेश का एक महत्वपूर्ण नगर है जो प्राचीन काल से राष्ट्रीय एवं सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों का मुख्य केंद्र रहा है। हिमाचल प्रदेश के एक स्ट्रैटेजिक बिंदु के होने के कारण यह नगर अंग्रेज़ी काल से ही राजनैतिक तथा सांस्कृतिक गतिविधिओं केअतिरिक्त हिमाचल प्रदेश का मुख्य द्वार भी रहा है। राष्ट्रीय महत्त्व का होने के कारण देश के अन्य बड़े नगरों के साथ जुड़ाव के निमित मोटर-मार्ग और रेलवे का प्रावधान अंग्रेजी काल के प्रारंभिक काल से हो जाने से के कारण भारत के मानचित्र में इसे विशेष स्थान प्राप्त है। शिमला को शरद-काल की राजधानी घोषित करने से पूर्व सोलन के निकट सुबाथू के स्थान को ,कई महत्वपूर्ण दृष्टिकोणों से राजकीय गतिविधियों के लिये चुना गया था जहाँ आज भी सैनिक जुड़ाव के अनेक दृष्टव्य चिह्न मौजूद हैं।

इस छोटी सी भूमिका का ज़िक्र यहाँ इस लिए करना आवश्यक है कि बावजूद ये सब होने के यहाँ चिरकाल तक सांस्कृतिक गतिविधयों को सुचारू और क्रमबद्ढंग से राष्ट्रिय पटल पर लाने का कोई यथेष्ट प्रयत्न नहीं किया गया, यद्यपि यहाँ के नागरिकों, स्थानीय कलाकारों और राजनीतिज्ञों के समय समय पर किये गये प्रयासों को नज़र अंदाज़ नहीं किया जा सकता। इस दिशा में लोक कलाओं एवं अनेक सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों की धमाल यहाँ हर महत्वपूर्ण अवसर पर होती रही है, जिस में एक विशेष सांस्कृतिक संस्था का ज़िक्र, विशेष रूप से करना आवश्यक जान पड़ता है क्योंकि इन गतिविधयों को संयोजित ढंग से संचालित करने और इस नगर को इस दृष्टि से राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर स्थापित करने में नगर के कुछ युवाओं का विशेष योगदान रहा है जिन में से कुछ नामों का ज़िक्र यहाँ करना आवश्यक लगता है। ये महत्वपूर्ण नाम इस प्रकार है - सर्वश्री विपुल गोयल, विजय पूरी, स्वo योगिन्दर सेठी, सुनीता शर्मा, राजीव उप्पल, रश्मिधर सूद, गुलाब सिंह नामधारी, राजिंदर शर्मा, धर्मपाल शर्मा, भेद राम, उत्तम कुमार, प्रोo अनुपम भल्ला, रवि कँवर पाल, सिमरन ठाकुर, अनु भरद्वाज और कई ऐसे नाम जो पृष्टभूमि में अपनी विशेष भूमिका निभाते रहे है, जिन के सामूहिक प्रयत्नों से यहाँ वर्ष 1986 में एक सांस्कृतिक संस्था - फिल्फाट फोरम - की विधिपूर्वक स्थापना की गयी। यह संस्था नाटक, शास्त्रीय संगीत नृत्य और सामाजिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने के पवित्र कार्य की पूर्ति और वृद्धि के निमित तभी से एक ईमानदार, जुझाररू एवं उत्साही मंडली के रूप में कार्यरत है। इस नगर को सांस्कृतिक स्थान दिलाने का श्रेय स्पष्टतया फिल्फाट फोरम को जाता है। प्रतिवर्ष हज़ारों की संख्या में यहाँ देश भर के युवा और हर उम्र और अनेक सांस्कृतिक एवं सामाजिक घटकों और केंद्रों से इस सांस्कृतिक नगरी में एक राष्ट्रीय दृष्टि और व्यापक मंतव्य से एकत्र होते हैं और एक सप्ताह तक अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन करते हैं। इसी संस्था के साथ जुड़ाव के कारण कई नाम आज राष्ट्र्रीय स्तर पर स्थापित हुए हैं।

वर्तमान वर्ष-2024, फिल्फाट फोरम के लिए इसलिए भाग्यशाली, महत्वपूर्ण और यहाँ विशिष्ट ज़िक्र के योग्य है कि इसे ३८ बर्षों की कड़ी मेहनत, साहस, और मुशक़्क़त का सिला इस वर्ष प्राप्त हुआ है। इस वर्ष यहाँ के उपनगर - जटोली - में सांस्कृतिक भवन का निर्माण और राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर इस की पहचान और इसका स्वीकृत होना एक ऐतिहासिक और सांस्कृतिक दृष्टि से एक सितारे की तरह नमूदार होने का श्रेय यहाँ के नौजवानों, विशेषकर युवा कार्यकर्ताओं, नागरिकों और शुभचिंतकों और राजकीय प्रशासकों को जाता है जिन का सतत सामूहिक प्रयास व कई सालों का सख्त परिश्रम और उनकी चिरसंचित इच्छा इस पावन वर्ष में फ़लीभूत हुई है। हम सब इनके आभारी हैं।

निस्सन्देह देश की यह नवीन और बहुमूल्य धरोहर यहाँ के युवावर्ग के धैर्य एवं परिश्रम का परिणाम है।

'Fylfot', this name was conceived by giving a thoughtful process which means , (as mentioned in Britannica enpysylooedia ),means Swastika'is an Indian religious sign which is considered to be the most auspicious sign in our culture .Organisation was formed with a single mission and vision to integrate our Nation through cultural social social and sports activities.

29th April 1986 was the day when it came into existence. It has got a wonderful journey by participating in HIS HOLINESS DALIA LAMA TROPHY at Dharmshala to Apna Utsava at Mumbai inaugurated by late Primer Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji one of our female singers late Minakshi participated in corus singing with Asha Bhosle ji . late Neeta one of our members went for a cultural exchange program in Japan . We had been organising various events in town such as Talaash, Shame Ghazal and a National Level event 'Abhinay',in which amature artists come and participate from all parts of the country and perform only their rich culture, through classical solo and group dances ,one act plays and Nukkar Naatak .

It is considered to be the biggest event in which we could see a Mini Bharat in Solan , a small state of Himachal Pradesh .It is also a curtain raiser of a famous Maa Shoolini Fair .

This is not all it has given a platform to young and budding artists. A few of them are in Mumbai a famous name comes to my mind is Rajpal Yadav a famous comedian , who won thrice , best child artist award . The youth energy is to be chanalised through such Forums at the right time and right age and we have seen many who are highly placed in the country . We owe something to the town where we are born and we as a group of like-minded friends endeavours to give it back this way to our beautiful tribute to Maa Shoolini .

As we move forward into the future, it is important that we don't forget our roots and the rich cultural heritage that we have inherited from our ancestors. India is a country of diverse cultures, languages, and traditions, and it is our responsibility to preserve and promote these regional cultures.

The preservation of Indian regional culture is not just about keeping traditions alive; it is also about embracing the diversity of our country and respecting the unique identities of different regions. Each region has its own distinct art, music, dance, cuisine, and festivals, and these are what make India truly special.

It is crucial that we take steps to preserve our regional culture by passing on traditions and knowledge to the younger generation. We must also support and encourage local artists and artisans who are keeping traditional art forms alive. By doing so, we can ensure that these cultural practices are not lost to time.

We should also make an effort to learn about and appreciate the cultures of other regions in India. This can be done by traveling to different parts of the country, reading about their history and traditions, and participating in their festivals and celebrations.

In conclusion, let us all come together to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of India. By doing so at the platform of Fylfot Forum, Solan under the Banner of ABHINAY an annual festival of cultural exchange our Motto is to promote our Indian cultural through cultural, social and literary activities, we can ensure that our regional cultures continue to thrive and contribute to the diverse and vibrant fabric of our nation.

मुझे अभिमान हे कि मैं फ़िल्फ़ोट फ़ॉरम सोलन के संस्थापक सादस्यों मेंसे एक हूँ। में आपको बता दूँ कि फ़िल्फ़ोट फ़ॉरम की नींव रखते में नही जानती थी कि कालाछेत्र में मुझे अन्य परिचय देने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी। हमारा फ़िल्फ़ोट एक ऐसा माध्यम है जिसने सोलन की संस्कृति व पहचान को भारत के कोने कोने में पहुँचने की उड़ान भरी और भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों की संस्कृति हमारे सोलन तक पहुँचाया और पहुँचा रहा है।

फ़िल्फ़ोट की उँगली थामने से ही मुझे भाषा विभाग शिमला, एन. जेड. सी. सी. पटियाला व अन्य संस्थाओं का साथ मिला जो इस छेत्र की लुप्त होती हुई संस्कृति की मौलिकता को कायम रखने व उसे भारत के कोने कोने में पहुँचने के अनेक अवसर देते रहे है। मुझे आज भी याद है कि हमने कॉलेज के सिल्वर जुबली फंक्शन में सोलन की संस्कृति को धरोहर की तरह सजोने का संकल्प लिया और परंपराओं में जाकर उसके स्वरूप का विकास करने तथा सफल बनाने का निश्चय किया।

मैं कुमारी सुनीता शर्मा सोलन और हिमाचल की आन बान और शान संस्कृति, लोक कलाकारों की राह में यहाँ वहाँ एक रोशनी को तलाशती रहती और फ़िल्फ़ोट फोरम के माध्यम से अपना उत्सव मुंबई से लेकर भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों, जिलों, शहरों, गाँव गाँव और दूरदर्शन में बाघाट व हिमाचली संस्कृति के रंग बिखेरे।

परिणाम सवरूप सम्मान मिले, पुरस्कार मिले और कालाविद के तोर पर कलाकरा, राज्य स्तरीय कलाकारा, कावित्री, साहित्यकरा, निर्णायक मंडल, वक्ता, विश्लेषक व सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता के रूप में पहचान मिली।

बदलतेदिन, महीनों व बदलते कैलेंडर के साथ साथ हमारी संस्कृति आज संसार के नक़्शे पर है और बहुत सराही जाती है।

अभी हमें और आगे जाना है ताकि हमारी साहित्यक , त्यौहार, खानपान, रीतिरिवाज, पहनावा, लोककथाएँ, वाद्ययंत्र, गावों व धरों की विरासत हमेशा जीवित रहे।

चलो आज से हम कला जगत के पनों में अपना नाम लिखवाये।

I feel honoured to be the part of the FYLFOT family dedicated in promotion of cultural, social and literary activities. The Talent Search Initiative is sole aim of the Forum, the identification of high-performing artists by organizing specific competitions to provide a platform to the budding artists. Different avenues are then provided for these artists to channel their abilities into rigorous extra curriculum activities. Literary works help learners to use their imagination, enhance their empathy for others and lead them to develop their own creativity. It inspires them to voice their opinions and exhibit their ideas.

Though, I am not capable of monitoring or observing any ongoing event or performance. However, I understand that India is home to a diverse range of art forms that reflect the country's rich cultural heritage. From classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, Mohniattam and Manipuri to traditional music genres like Hindustani and Carnatic music, Indian art has a unique style and aesthetic.

Artists who perform these art forms play a crucial role in preserving and promoting India's cultural heritage, as well as keeping them relevant in modern times. Their dedication and hard work help to ensure that these art forms are not lost to history and can continue to inspire future generations.

It's essential to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of these artists, who are instrumental in keeping India's cultural legacy alive. Their passion and devotion to their art form are truly admirable and serve as a source of inspiration for many.
